Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Training
The Office of Research & Engagement has partnered with the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) program to allow UT Knoxville affiliated researchers the opportunity to participate in online research ethics education.
Faculty and graduate students can use this link to register for CITI certification:
All researchers who use human subjects will be required to have this certification, including faculty advisors working with students. The two modules required by CCI are:
Basic Courses in IRB/Human Subjects Research
- Social and Behavioral Focus Basic/Refresher — For most people in S&B or Humanities disciplines
Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
- Social and Behavioral RCR (Psychology, Social Work, etc.)
CICS has three licenses for iThenticate. iThenticate allows users to check for plagiarism by comparing the uploaded document against 40 million published research articles. If you are interested in using this service please contact: Suzie Allard, Beth Meko, or Rachel Volentine.
Pivot is a comprehensive database of funding opportunities and research profiles that is searchable by all researchers, staff, and students with a UT NetID. The funding opportunities include federal, non-federal, foundation, and private opportunities, both domestic and international.
